The wise look with the same eye on a Brahmin endowed with learning and humility, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eating outcaste.
Explanation
Krishna continues describing those whose impurities have been washed away by knowledge. Such wise people (paṇḍitāḥ) look on all beings with equal vision (samadarśinaḥ), whether a learned Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, or an outcaste dog-eater (śvapāka). Most traditions take this to mean equal regard for the one Self present in all beings, not treating every person or creature identically in conduct.
