गाण्डीवं स्रंसते हस्तात्त्वक्चैव परिदह्यते ।न च शक्नोम्यवस्थातुं भ्रमतीव च मे मनः ॥
gāṇḍīvaṃ sraṃsate hastāttvakcaiva paridahyate |na ca śaknomyavasthātuṃ bhramatīva ca me manaḥ ||
The Gandiva bow slips from my hand, and my skin burns all over. I am not able to stand steady, and my mind seems to be spinning.
Explanation
Arjuna is speaking to Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, describing how the sight of his relatives in both armies has shaken him. Gandiva is his famous bow, and its slipping from his hand shows how far his composure has gone. The burning skin, unsteady stance and whirling mind continue the physical symptoms of distress he began listing in the previous verse.
