कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम् ।कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं प्रपश्यद्भिर्जनार्दन ॥
kathaṃ na jñeyamasmābhiḥ pāpādasmānnivartitum |kulakṣayakṛtaṃ doṣaṃ prapaśyadbhirjanārdana ||
But why should we not know enough to turn away from this sin, O Janardana, when we clearly see the evil that comes from destroying a family?
Explanation
Arjuna continues his argument. In the previous verse he said the Kauravas, their minds overcome by greed, fail to see the wrong in destroying a family and betraying friends. Here he says that he and his side do see it, so they should know better and refrain from this sin (pāpa). Janardana is a name for Krishna.
