असक्तिरनभिष्वङ्गः पुत्रदारगृहादिषु ।नित्यं च समचित्तत्वमिष्टानिष्टोपपत्तिषु ॥
asaktiranabhiṣvaṅgaḥ putradāragṛhādiṣu |nityaṃ ca samacittatvamiṣṭāniṣṭopapattiṣu ||
Non-clinging, and no deep attachment to children, spouse, home and the like; and a constant evenness of mind amid things wished for and things unwished for…
Explanation
Krishna is continuing his list of qualities that make up true knowledge (jñāna). Here he names non-clinging (asakti) and freedom from over-identifying (anabhiṣvaṅga) with family and home, which does not mean neglecting them. He adds a steady, balanced mind (samacittatva) whether pleasant or unpleasant things happen. The list carries on into the next verse.
