Know me also as the knower of the field in all fields, O descendant of Bharata. The knowledge of the field and its knower — that, in my view, is true knowledge.
Explanation
Krishna continues his teaching to Arjuna, building on the previous verse, where the body is called the "field" (kṣetra) and the one who knows it the "knower of the field" (kṣetrajña). Here he says he is the knower in all fields, and that understanding the field and its knower is real knowledge (jñāna). Advaita traditions read this as the individual self being one with the Supreme, while devotional (Vaishnava) traditions read it as the Lord dwelling within every being as the inner witness, distinct from the individual self.
