yadā bhūtapṛthagbhāvamekasthamanupaśyati |tata eva ca vistāraṃ brahma sampadyate tadā ||
When a person sees the separate existence of beings as rooted in one, and sees their spreading out from that very one, then they attain Brahman.
Explanation
Krishna is describing true vision. The many different beings are seen as resting in a single ground and unfolding from it, and this seeing is itself reaching Brahman (the infinite reality). Traditions differ on what that one ground is: some Advaita readings take it as the one Self, while others take it as material nature (prakṛti) or the Lord supporting all beings.
