Others offer all the actions of the senses, and the actions of the vital breath as well, into the fire of the yoga of self-control, kindled by knowledge.
Explanation
Krishna is listing different kinds of sacrifice (yajña), meaning disciplined offerings that purify the practitioner. Here the offering is every sensory action and every function of the vital breath (prāṇa), placed into the inner fire of self-control (saṃyama) lit by knowledge (jñāna). Commentators differ on whether this describes a meditative withdrawal of the senses and breath, or a broader inner discipline of the whole life.
