One whose every undertaking is free from desire and willful intention, and whose actions have been burned away in the fire of knowledge — the wise call such a person a sage.
Explanation
Krishna continues describing the person who sees inaction within action and action within inaction. Such a person still acts, but without craving (kāma) or the self-centered planning for results (saṅkalpa). Their actions are "burned" by knowledge (jñāna), meaning they no longer bind. Commentators differ on whether this knowledge is mainly self-realization or discernment in acting, but all agree it frees action from attachment.
