यदृच्छालाभसन्तुष्टो द्वन्द्वातीतो विमत्सरः ।समः सिद्धावसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते ॥
yadṛcchālābhasantuṣṭo dvandvātīto vimatsaraḥ |samaḥ siddhāvasiddhau ca kṛtvāpi na nibadhyate ||
Content with whatever comes to him by chance, beyond the pairs of opposites, free from envy, and the same in success and failure, he is not bound even though he acts.
Explanation
Krishna continues describing the person who acts without being bound by action (karma). Such a person is content with what comes unasked (yadṛcchā-lābha), is untouched by pairs of opposites like pleasure and pain (dvandva), and stays even-minded in success and failure. Because there is no envy or craving behind the action, it leaves no binding result.
