उच्चैःश्रवसमश्वानां विद्धि माममृतोद्भवम् ।ऐरावतं गजेन्द्राणां नराणां च नराधिपम् ॥
uccaiḥśravasamaśvānāṃ viddhi māmamṛtodbhavam |airāvataṃ gajendrāṇāṃ narāṇāṃ ca narādhipam ||
Among horses, know me as Uchchaihshravas, born of the nectar of immortality; among lordly elephants, as Airavata; and among humans, as the king.
Explanation
Krishna continues listing his divine manifestations (vibhūti) for Arjuna, picking out the finest example in each category. Uchchaihshravas and Airavata are the celestial horse and elephant that, in the well-known myth, emerged when the gods and demons churned the ocean for the nectar of immortality (amṛta). The "king" (narādhipa) is the ruler of humans, whose power and duty to protect make him a fitting image of the divine.
