I am the Vedic rite, I am the sacrifice, I am the offering to the ancestors, I am the healing herb. I am the mantra, I am the clarified butter, I am the fire, and I am the offering poured into it.
Explanation
Krishna is continuing to explain to Arjuna how he is present in everything. Here he names each element of a Vedic ritual: the rite (kratu), the sacrifice (yajña), the offering to ancestors (svadhā), the herb or food (auṣadha), the mantra, the clarified butter (ājya), the fire (agni) and the oblation (huta). The point is that the ritual, its tools and its result are all Krishna himself. Commentators differ on some terms, such as how kratu differs from yajña (often taken as Vedic and later-tradition rites respectively) and whether auṣadha means medicinal herbs or the plant food that nourishes all beings.
