Just as the mighty wind, moving everywhere, always rests in space, so too all beings rest in me. Understand it in this way.
Explanation
Krishna has just said that beings do not "rest" in him in the ordinary sense, and he now gives an image to resolve the puzzle. Wind moves everywhere yet is held in space without disturbing or touching it; likewise all beings exist in Krishna without binding or changing him. Traditions differ on the finer point: non-dual (Advaita) readers stress that beings depend on him while he stays untouched, while devotional and qualified non-dual schools stress that he is the real support of a world that is truly distinct from him.
