अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते ।तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम् ॥
ananyāścintayanto māṃ ye janāḥ paryupāsate |teṣāṃ nityābhiyuktānāṃ yogakṣemaṃ vahāmyaham ||
Those who think of me alone and worship me with undivided devotion, always steadfast — I myself provide for their welfare and security.
Explanation
Krishna has just said that those who seek heaven through ritual return to the mortal world when their merit runs out. Here he contrasts them with devotees who think of him alone and are steadily devoted. He promises to bring them what they do not yet have (yoga) and protect what they already have (kṣema). Commentators differ on whether this means material welfare, spiritual attainment, or both.
