It is right, O Hrishikesha, that the world rejoices at your glory and is filled with love for you. Demons flee in fear in every direction, and all the hosts of perfected beings bow to you.
Explanation
Arjuna, trembling after seeing Krishna's cosmic form, now responds in praise. He says it is fitting (sthāne) that the world rejoices in Krishna's glory, while fearsome beings (rākṣasas) scatter and the siddhas, perfected sages, bow. Some commentators read the fleeing demons as the forces opposed to the divine order, others as a general picture of fear before the Lord's power.
