न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा ।दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् ॥
na tu māṃ śakyase draṣṭumanenaiva svacakṣuṣā |divyaṃ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogamaiśvaram ||
But you cannot see me with just this eye of your own. I give you a divine eye. Behold my sovereign yoga.
Explanation
Krishna has just invited Arjuna to see the whole universe within his body. Here he explains that Arjuna's ordinary human eyes cannot take this in, so he grants a divine eye (divya cakṣus). His 'sovereign yoga' (yogam aiśvaram) means his divine power to manifest the cosmos in one form.
