So rise up and win glory! Defeat your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. These warriors have already been struck down by me alone; be merely the instrument, O Savyasachin.
Explanation
Krishna has just shown Arjuna his cosmic form and declared himself Time (kāla), the destroyer of worlds. Here he draws the conclusion: Arjuna should stop hesitating and fight, since the outcome is already set and Arjuna is only an instrument (nimitta). Savyasachin, "one who shoots with both hands," is an epithet of Arjuna. Traditions differ on the emphasis: some stress surrender to divine will, others stress that Arjuna must still act responsibly in his duty (dharma).
