यः सर्वत्रानभिस्नेहस्तत्तत्प्राप्य शुभाशुभम् ।नाभिनन्दति न द्वेष्टि तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता ॥
yaḥ sarvatrānabhisnehastattatprāpya śubhāśubham |nābhinandati na dveṣṭi tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā ||
One who is attached to nothing anywhere, who neither rejoices nor recoils on meeting this or that good or bad outcome — that person's wisdom stands firm.
Explanation
Krishna continues describing the person of steady wisdom (sthitaprajña), the question Arjuna asked in 2.54. Such a person is free from clinging (sneha, affectionate attachment) and meets pleasant and unpleasant events with the same evenness, neither celebrating nor resenting them. Wisdom (prajñā) here means a settled, steady understanding.
