Restraining all these senses, one should remain disciplined, intent on me as the highest goal. For the one whose senses are under control, wisdom stands firmly established.
Explanation
Krishna is continuing his description of the person of steady wisdom for Arjuna. After warning that unruly senses can carry off even a determined mind, he says the remedy is to restrain them (saṃyama), stay focused in yoga, and take him as the supreme goal. Commentators differ on "me": some read it as devotion to Krishna as the personal God, others as the Self or the highest reality, which is Krishna's own nature.
