Through devotion he truly comes to know me — how great I am and who I am. Then, having known me in truth, he enters into me immediately after.
Explanation
Krishna continues describing the person who has become serene and has reached supreme devotion (bhakti). Only through such devotion, he says, can one truly know his nature, both his extent and his identity. Knowing him in truth is then followed by 'entering' him; some Advaita readers take this as non-dual union, while devotional traditions read it as entering into his presence or being close to him, and the verse itself does not settle the matter.
