Wherever there is Krishna, the lord of yoga, and wherever there is Partha, the archer, there are fortune, victory, prosperity and unfailing right conduct. This is my conviction.
Explanation
Sanjaya closes his report to King Dhritarashtra by giving his own verdict on the war. Krishna, called lord of yoga (yogeśvara, master of spiritual discipline), and Arjuna the archer together stand for wisdom joined with action. Sanjaya concludes that prosperity, victory and sound conduct (nīti) will be on their side. Some readers take this as a prediction about the battle, others as a statement about life in general.
