इत्यहं वासुदेवस्य पार्थस्य च महात्मनः ।संवादमिममश्रौषमद्भुतं रोमहर्षणम् ॥
ityahaṃ vāsudevasya pārthasya ca mahātmanaḥ |saṃvādamimamaśrauṣamadbhutaṃ romaharṣaṇam ||
In this way I heard this conversation between Vasudeva and the great-souled Partha, a conversation so wondrous that it makes my hair stand on end.
Explanation
Sanjaya, who has been narrating the war to the blind king Dhritarashtra, begins his closing words. Vasudeva is Krishna, and Partha (son of Pritha, Kunti) is Arjuna. He says the dialogue was so astonishing that it made his hair stand on end (romaharṣaṇa), a traditional sign of awe.
